OUCH!

On Sunday we took Emma out for a walk to get some wiggles out. Well, she offically recieved her first battle wounds as a toddler. She has had some bumps and bruises, but this was her first real injury. She fell down pretty hard, and Cameron had to carry her about 3 blocks to avoid getting blood everywhere. It didn't help either that she didn't have a nap that day either. She has been milking it for all it is worth ever since Sunday. She keeps pointing to her knees and saying, "Hurt." I think being an Owens she has a lot to look forward to in regards to injuries.

THE BABY TURNED!!!

I am so excited! I wasn't feeling the baby move, and was experiencing a lot of the same symptoms I was feeling with my abruption with Emma, so I called the doctor and they wanted me to come in. I went in to get checked out, and when they did the ultrasound, the baby was head down! So having a VBAC is still a possibility for us. Cameron is wanting me to have the baby on leap year day, so February 29th. I think that would be a fun and unique thing to have happen. I am also having better time sleeping, and breathing now as well. Things are going great, and I am excited to have a little one.

My birthday was yesterday, and I am still glad that I have a couple more years before I am 30. JaNae my friend from high school came to see me yesterday. It was great to see her and her little girl Aubrey, and have a nice conversation. Later that day, we dropped Emma off at a friends, and went to the movies. I dragged Cameron to see 27 Dresses. I really liked it, but I felt bad for Cameron becuase I could tell he was bored. I guess that is what husbands are good for eh? We were going to go out to eat, but by the time we got to the restaurant it was and hour and a half wait. It was already 6:30, and we told our friends we would be back by 8:00. We decided to get something small, and then go out later this week. Curse those kids! :-)

We also had a nice little gas leak last night. Not at our house, but outside. We had been smelling gas for a couple of days, and then yesterday the gas company was going around outside sticking a pole thing in everyone's yards. Anyways, around 1:30 am, I heard a lot of clanging. Then around 2:00 am, I hear a jackhammer tearing up the sidewalk. We don't have the gas smell anymore, but it was a nice little lullaby so early in the morning. I guess it was serious enough for them to use a jackhammer in a nice quiet neighborhood so early in the morning. Well that is about all the news I have for now.

Snow?

Well, it is January 14th, and we still have no snow. I never in a million years would have thought that St. Louis would have such mild winters. The western part of the state gets very severe weather, but right here on the Mississippi it has been very mild. We are in the mid thirties during the day, and one week it did get down into the single digits, but other than that nothing. The funny thing is that about a week ago it was in the mid 60's, and we had a severe thunderstorm. The western part of the state even had some tornadoes. Very weird weather, but its been nice. I just want to say I am sorry to my family that lives in Idaho. I have seen the snow and it is also cold there. I am glad I do not have to shovel. Leaves are about the extent of our problems at this point. I cannot get rid of the leaves. They pile up in our driveway, they are all over our front steps, they are everywhere! They even have people who come by your neighboorhood now and again and vaccuum up your leaves if you have them on the curb. Its pretty fun to look at.

Well, Emma is such a big girl now. She kept crawling out of her crib, and it was driving me crazy. She wouldn't go to sleep, and sometimes she would come into our room at 3:00 a.m. Well this just wasn't working, so we finally buckled down and got her toddler bed ready. We also went to Wal-Mart and purchased some things that go around the doorknob so she can't open the door. So we did her usual bedtime routine, and then we shut the door. She cried of course for about 2 minutes because she couldn't open the door, but about a half and hour later I went in to check on her, and found her asleep in her new bed. How easy was that? She has been such a breeze now. She goes down for her naps and at bedtime so easily now. I just want to shoot myself for not having done this sooner. I guess you live and then you learn. Then you get LUVS?

Baby is still breech. We will know in two weeks wether or not I will be having another C-Section. Keep ya posted.

4 years

I hope every one's new year is coming along stupendously. We went to Ci Ci's Pizza on new years day for lunch, and on our way Cameron said to me " Its been 4 years since we were driving through St. Louis on our way to Michigan. " Its amazing how time flies. So many things have happened in those 4 years. Our life hasn't been very consistant during these past four years, and we have struggled a lot. Things I guess never slow down, and I am hoping the next four years are even better for us. Cameron's job is going great, and everyone is finally starting to realize that Cameron is very capable. People have been underestimating him, and he is proving them wrong. I am proud of him, and his ability to work very hard. His Dad taught him well.

Wow! I can't believe that I have less than 60 days left in my pregnancy. I have had my few glitches in the pregnancy, but overall it hasn't been bad. I am getting nervous for the end. When I really sit down and think, it is hard to imagine another little one in our lives. I am really excited for this new "Boy" adventure. I need to enjoy the last few moments I have to myself for the next month or two.

I hope you all have made your new year's resolutions. Losing some extra weight this year is definatly something that needs to happen, but I am focusing more on the spiritual this year. I am a little embarrased to admit, but I have not read the Book of Mormon nor the Bible cover to cover. My goal is to get through them for the year. I also want to be more diligent in studying the Joseph Smith manual for church. There are going to be a lot of great things in there, and I need to buckle down and read it. All of this is a big focus, but I know that it will greatly improve my life. I can't possibly feel anything other than the Spirit, and become closer to my Heavenly Father.

I hope the new year finds all of you well, and don't forget my birthday!
